Sylwia Kierszniowska earned the master's degree in biotechnology in 2005 from University of Wroclaw, Poland. She completed her PhD in Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and obtained the degree in 2010 from the University of Potsdam, Germany. From 2010 to 2015 she was postdoctoral researcher in MPIMP in the signalling proteomics and later in signalling metabolomics group. Subsequently, she moved to the metabolomic and systems biology company metaSysX, where she currently holds a CEO position. She led numerous grants funded by BMBF and European Union and is an author of scientific publications from the field of data analysis, proteomics and metabolomics.

metaSysX GmbH is metabolomics and systems biology company with state-of-the art mass spectrometry-based platforms. It is specialized in complex statistical analysis, like mathematical modelling and -omics data integration. It has also an expertise in development of algorithms and software used for processing of metabolomic data. Since its foundation in 2012 metaSysX was part of tens of successful commercial and academic projects which led to publications.
